these days I only taste blood I don't take care of myself like I should I know as years pass I'll change so keep me young let me stay the same I promise not to waste it with zombie smiles or idle hands age may just be a number but time will never understand the way it's supposed to be well that's just the way things are or so they told me I don't want to be disappeared I just want to plant some plants put down my flags and say "hey! I live here!" I try to outrun subscriptions, spheres pressed to connect me to my superstitions and to all of my visions of the world brand wreck if I resist will the pain insist? if I desist will the resistance remain? unchanged unchained? like a carfire on the highway it feels as though you're in a dream and the shifting of plates tectonic or fake it shakes you awake as you rise from the top of the pot as the boiling comes to a stop I can't go on, I must go (true love weights, waste, wait) these days lack the majestic contained tame in a screen it's sickening the lengths these boxes would go to to grow then feed you your dreams and to all you explorers when you find out how flat the world can be don't throw your maps to the water there's always new paths to seek

Tell is Told 04:40
I've resigned everything is fine, everything is turn it around, still turning 'round cast your nets out deep into the sound if you stand for nothing than nothing will fall to the ground for certain truths lie certain ways a steadied readied haze I've resigned everything is fine, everything is fine these young nights beneath ancient skies from side to side just plain skinned alive is this what it means to survive? to maintain the razor climb? of curving signs, a heartbreak's line: "I guess I just wasn't made for these times" here alone my tell is told my envy grows like a shadow it glows I've become reptilian I trust no one offer me some explanation of beyond human on my knees this is your anthem a totaled sum a totaled sum I've resigned everything is fine, everything is fine everything is

Planet Earth 04:20
Planet Earth, You know I love and I'm always thinking of you but I'm always thinking about me too. I know you're pretty but why do you seem pretty only on my tv? You know I love you and I'm always thinking of you but I can't just change my ways. I can't lose my iPhone and I love to my car groan and my lights, they've been on for days and days. Sometimes the facts they make me cry because I can't stop driving what makes me buy and it makes all I care about I I I I I I I I Planet Earth! Planet Earth! Yea you know I love you and I'm always thinking of you and now I've got this chance to change my ways and if I say I'll try you know I won't lie but in the end we both know that all I care about is I I I

read my mind partner in crime I've got nothing, nothing to hide, no tribe to survive no compass in abyss you are my weakness by cover of night my campfire light in caves of defeat oh my refugee she paints belief the more I dive the less I miss I tried bringing riches to the surface but the weight was too great so I marked an X amongst the sand and amongst the bones so I know a place where we can be alone just her and me oh my refugee we're digging deep sometimes so brilliant and militant it's so overwhelming just as matter disappears only to reappear as energy transferring laws are made by the lawless but I'd follow you west I wish that I could just tell you everything is battling for some space a place where instinct can root by the seeds and where I see alternative histories in your eyes and now I know somethings grow they grow so complete and it grows just for me like a tree through concrete change in the street oh my refugee don't you let me don't let me don't let me don't let me forget how to love you

it's just too much information as a crutch when all you can trust is your gut feeling so out of touch the future has passed the present now may last so we spy on each other to prove the right all eyes supervise busy waiting in line leave me alone I, am I really alone? even when I feel what kind of world is this? tell me where do I fit in? where I won't fly off the earth as she spins shedding her skin everything remains only climates change mother tongues fade as language is rearranged to new definitions of the same old ways leave me alone I, am I really alone even when I feel so alone? I know her I want to know her better I forget forget to remember remember just to sense what is true even when the moment of the moments' removed splintering instinct white noise widening deep in the hum of appliances screams turn to the sounds of silence leave us alone are we ever really alone? leave us alone leave us alone leave us alone
6.
The Home 06:47
I've got no one to blame nothing against my brain home of the pioneer, lonely on the frontier in a running contradiction with no destination only perspiration wasted or wasting away I dug my wells deep I prayed for rain in dry heat above clouds roll like die the most simple of desires denied cottonmouthed I dig deeper devotion so pure and so safe if the sky opens I'll be ready but if it remains shut at least I'll have a grave in a running contradiction with no destination only perspiration wasted or wasting away in a running contradiction with no destination only perspiration wasted or wasting away wasting away the kings of these ashen countries scorched their way to the throne the only girl I've ever loved is buried alive (among the stones) can you hear me? can you hear me? I swear to you we're alone can you hear me? can you hear me? taking the house not the home

Modern Atlas 04:13
I'm making the most of this life I've become a ghost overnight the shapeless knife although I know I don't exist but I'm as patient as the mist some rat trap snapped made me numb I thought I could outwit the what the when the who the how the now the why and if the big big eye watches over me with retina scams and tv screams can't it see everyone wants to play the lead in this own earth tragedy what do you know that I don't know? what do you know that I don't know? time unwritten yet buy the book it happened again again and again another page turns take the blame that's all you're all owed to take only something so real could be this fake what do you know that I don't know? what do you know that I don't know? what do you know that I don't know? what do you think you know that I don't know? what do you know that I don't know?

Circle 04:13
how much longer do we have to crawl? how much longer do we have to fall? so obedient to feeling so obedient so brittle little piece of prey where will you go what will you say? say it to me! how much farther do we have to know? and how much farther do we have to go? so obedient to feeling so obedient so brittle little piece of clay where will you go what will you say? I told you there's a circle around the moon one full echo there's a circle there's a circle so obedient to feeling listless legless hopeless helpless so pathetic as the clock ticks lost in abyss I'm so obedient to feeling so obedient so brittle buy all greasing all every railing what else can you be? I told you

Patterns 04:42
I have no room for make belief in a world of wolves for sheep border towns come alive some lights can't be described by math or the naked eye a stray thought in the hive there's nothing left to lose just the lies you tell to believe the truth things come to me at night no I really don't know because I don't think I could ever do what'right what option is escape with no barrel left to scrape silence spells your name I wait on the wild winds simple patterns lost within a fire separates there's nothing left to lose just the lies you tell to believe the truth things come to me at night no I really don't know why because I don't think I could ever do what's right the more that you hold it the more you let it go the more you let it go the more you let it grow

Beyond 05:06
I don't mind if a storm cloud covers the earth if the people know their worth they could open up their eyes and believe the sun's alive Alive. I don't care how they try to make us hide how they want us to divide if I don't get it right this time well I know I will when I come back and I've learned how we're all the same inside and that no two are alike so I tune out anyone who believes in leaders of mankind you can open up your eyes and believe the sun is alive believe the sun is alive

I want to wake up and plain as day breathe in air the old fashioned way and as I throw open the window I know I've got to wake up No time for blame this is not a game no dice just lives at stake no time to waste or wait as a future is erased you know you've got to wake them up the simple facts if we lose this earth to energy companies or worse... I hope you don't have a need for thirst you know you've got to you know you've got to you know you've got to wake up wake up I know it's hard to change the way they want you to stay and what seems so far away gets closer everyday as you as I awake wake me up when it's over wake me up when I'm older
